So there was a mouse in the garage. Not a rat, or anything scary—it looked more like someone’s lost pet. Now there are easy ways of getting rid of a mouse, but the mouse doesn’t enjoy it so much. So we went out of our way for the little guy and set up a better mousetrap—pun completely intended.
We took a small plastic insect cage, tied a string to a stick that held open the door, and baited it with almond butter. The mouse couldn’t resist the almond butter very long and we soon had the mouse secured in his holding cell. We named him Patrick Henry and soon gave him liberty at a nearby nature preserve.
